What exactly is Teacher Karma?

For every action, there will ALWAYS be some reaction. Your actions and even your thoughts are potent.

Teacher Karma ~ return the favor

Throughout my 17 years in education, I have had so many wonderful mentors, kind words of advice, and amazing people who have helped mold me into the educator I am today.

I created Teacher Karma to return the amazing favor that so many have done for me.

So, what is Teacher Karma?

  1. Whatever you do will eventually ALWAYS come back to you. ALWAYS.
  2. You and you alone are responsible for your own actions.  You create your own KARMA.
  3. As teachers, we are forced to make many decisions every day. We make good decisions.  We make not-so-good decisions sometimes. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES.
  4. Try to focus on the positive. If you constantly worry about all the bad things going on at your school or home, you will encourage negativity.  This also goes for spending time with negative thinking people.
  5. Being kind to others is being kind to yourself.  Helping others is helping yourself. Smiling at others is smiling at yourself.
Teacher Karma plants a seed.  Over time it will grow.  When the time is right, you will receive your Teacher Karma.
Please check back with me.  I will be sharing teacher tutorials, guest bloggers, educational advice, and other positive things to make you smile, hopefully.

How do you give back to others, either in education or your home life?

  1. Jeannine,

Thank you so much for such a nice comment. I completely agree with you about the importance of focusing on the positive….especially this time of year! I know that it really gets crazy at my school about this time each year.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend and thanks again!

  2. Great advice and a super post Jen! We all need to be reminded to focus on the positive especially when things get stressful! I try to compliment people daily. Everyone likes when people recognize the good things they say and do! 🙂
